Global Union is raising serious concerns regarding the recent actions taken by Atsushi Kitamura, Director-General of the Kumamoto Regional Taxation Bureau; Hiroshi Oka and Keisuke Ota of the Investigation Division 3; and Hideto Nakamura of Investigation Division 21 of the Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau.
According to the union, it has been confirmed that expressions such as "tax evasion contractor" and "B-kan-ya" written in the "Mamitsuka Memo," created by tax accountant Takeji Mamitsuka, who is a former official of the National Tax Agency, caused a strong psychological impact on the families of union members, especially their minor relatives.
Indeed, cases have been reported where a member's daughter experienced severe psychological distress due to the description in question, leading to a suicide attempt and ultimately making it difficult for her to continue her studies.
