About us

Countries around the world go to the trouble of establishing trade unions in their constitutions, but are there any trade unions that fulfil the purpose of their establishment? At least in Japan, trade unions seem to be full of people who have lost sight of their purpose and have become a skeleton or a rabble, such as trade unions that needlessly repeat useless disputes, trade unions that are suspected of being run according to a political or religious agenda, and trade unions that are not even run properly in the first place. The trade unions have lost sight of their purpose and have become disfigured and mobbed up.

One of our major concerns as a major cause of this is union dues. Members who are semi-forced to join the union pay union dues out of their salaries for their work, and there are full-time union workers who make a living from the union dues. To prevent numb union members from becoming numb, we keep repeating sterile disputes that are topical and sterile, even though they do not lead to fundamental improvements in the working environment.

We had strong doubts that union fees were at the root of such a vicious circle and, taking into account the original intention of trade unions, we thought that union fees were the root of all evils that were preventing the healthy development of trade unions and established the world's first trade union with no union fees. This led to the establishment of the world's first trade union with no union fees.

As far as Japan is concerned, Japan has one of the lowest union membership rates in the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development), and it is very likely that the low membership rate is a factor in the failure to comply with the Labour Standards Law and the many labour disputes that arise. To resolve this situation, we are forming a union with no union fees in order to become a social infrastructure to which all workers belong, to reduce the burden on workers and companies through early resolution, and to serve as a deterrent to allow black companies to continue.
