The structures of oppression and inequality continue to remain in the modern workplace in diverse forms, such as informal employment, overwork, harassment, gender disparity, and algorithmic management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, recent technological innovations are rapidly changing the nature of labor: advances in AI, robotics, and platform work are bringing flexibility to the way we work, while at the same time ushering in an era in which the fundamental definitions of labor itself are being questioned: who is a worker, and what does it mean to work? Who is a worker?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this situation, we at GlobalUnion,Interpret labor issues in a broader sense from a perspective beyond the traditional framework and work toward fundamental solutions<\/span>Our mission is to<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is not just a traditional theme of correcting wages and working hours, but also a challenge to create new standards to protect the dignity, freedom, safety, and social inclusion of workers, aiming not to \"normalize\" labor but to redefine it. It is a project that goes beyond simply protecting workers to question what it means for people to work and how labor should be connected to society from every aspect: ethical, economic, political, and cultural.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on empathy and solidarity that transcends national borders, we aim to realize \"labor without exploitation,\" \"a proud way of working,\" and \"a way of life without losing our humanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first step toward a drastic solution<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

GlobalUnion aims to provide fundamental solutions to labor issues, which are the longest and most serious social problems in the history of mankind. As a first step, we started from the question \"What is the essential problem?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this context, we focused on the potential of the existence of labor unions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with religion and the state, labor unions are a large form of organization that has been strongly recognized legally and socially throughout the world. In the constitutions of many countries, the right of workers to organize and bargain collectively is explicitly guaranteed by the supreme law. This means that the state has clearly recognized the importance of organized solidarity in protecting workers' dignity and rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reality, however, deviates greatly from that philosophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to data from the International Labor Organization (ILO), the world's labor force exceeds 3.5 billion people and is growing every year. On the other hand, trade union membership is less than 10% of the total and continues to decline in many countries.
