Countries around the world go to the trouble of establishing labor unions in their constitutions, but are there any labor unions that fulfill the purpose of such constitutions? At least in Japan, there are labor unions that are involved in needless repetition of disputes, labor unions that may be run according to political or religious agendas, and labor unions that are not even properly run in the first place. I am not sure what to do about this.
One of our major concerns as a major cause of this is union dues. Members who are forced to join the union half-heartedly pay union dues out of their salaries, which are the compensation for their labor, and there are full-time union workers who make a living from those union dues. To prevent numb union members from becoming numb, we keep repeating sterile disputes that are topical even though they do not lead to fundamental improvements in the working environment.
We strongly questioned whether union dues are the root of this vicious cycle, and we thought that union dues are the root of all evils that hinder the healthy development of labor unions, if we take into account the original intent of the establishment of labor unions. We have established the world's first trade union with no union dues.
As far as Japan is concerned, Japan has the lowest union membership rate in the OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development), and it is very likely that the low membership rate is the cause of many labor disputes that fail to comply with the Labor Standards Law. To resolve this situation, we are forming a union with no union fee in order to become a social infrastructure to which all workers belong, to reduce the burden on workers and companies through early resolution, and to serve as a deterrent not to allow black companies.
- No admission fee required
- no union dues
- No initiation fee required
- No full-time union employees.
- No daily activities or communication as this is a group of volunteers
- If there is a desire to resolve disputes, we will recruit volunteers from among the group's members in charge of negotiations.
- We do not force our members to participate in meetings whose purpose is unclear or in collective bargaining negotiations that they do not wish to engage in.
- Less likely to be relative to a company that operates correctly because there is no unnecessary abuse of the three labor rights.
- We do not file futile petitions for relief before the Labor Relations Commission.
- No unnecessary abuse of collective bargaining rights
